GREAT ENTRY LEVEL WHEELSET
HUBS: ZUUS branded Powerway R13 hubs (320GMS), alloy with sealed Enduro bearings. These hubs use a J-Bend spoke type. The PRO and the PROSL use a top of the range BITEX 305 straight pull hub. The spokes on a straight pull hub can be tensioned tighter therefore creating a faster more positive ride.
SPOKES: Sapim Race J-Bend double butted spokes. We do not use the cheaper bladed spokes on our Aero Range as they can tend to twist over time and therefore have a detrimental aero dynamic advantage (you can upgrade your spokes on the AERO range to Sapim CX-RAY for £99
RIM: Japanese Toray T700 Carbon with a basalt braking surface. Guaranteed not to burn out and have good performance in the wet and dry.

HUBS: ZUUS uses branded BITEX 305 straight pull hubs (246gms) which we can tensioned tighter than the AERO hubs therefore creating a fast ride. The Bitex 305 free hubs have an Anti Bite system, extra steel splines have been applied to the to stop cassettes gouging, so no more ugly shredded free hub bodies, this also ensures a faster engagement. Another top feature of the BITEX 305 hub is that the free hub body has 6 pawl engagement instead of the usual 3 pawl. Providing a super fast, positive engagement and a low click noise. On the hole the BITEX 305 hub is lighter and has more features than the acclaimed DT-SWISS 240 hub.
SPOKES: Sapim Race straight pull double butted spokes, for a £99 you can upgrade the PRO range to use Sapim CX-RAY spokes.
RIM: Japanese Toray T700 Carbon with a 3K weave surface, we coat the rim with an attractive extra carbon heat treated layer, guaranteed not to burn out and have a superior breaking performance in the wet and dry (as effective as alloy) This rim is lighter than the Aero rim and is balanced to create a perfect spin without distortion.

F.A.Q: THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN THE PRO AND THE PROSL IS: HYBRID CERAMIC BEARINGS AND SAPIM CX-RAY SPOKES AS STANDARD
HUBS: The same BITEX 305 hubs as the PRO range but with ZUUS Glide PRO ceramic hybrid bearings as standard. In test ceramic bearings spin six times longer than standard sealed bearings. The ceramic bearings we use are, robust, tried and tested.
SPOKES: Sapim CX-RAY bladed spokes as standard.

ZUUS WHEELS AERODYNAMICS
All our wheels share the same Aero 'Oval' rim shape proven to be the best performing in wind tunnel testing.
Strength, durability, weight and aerodynamic performance all built into our wheelsets. Our rim suppliers engineers understand all these factors and are constantly updating the designs.
We use an oval rim design favored by the larger named brand manufacturers. Through intensive research and testing of numerous rim shape, wind tunnel testing and in-depth analysis of real world wind conditions. The initial design was based on the theory that ineffective winds a rider experiences tend to fall within a lower yaw angle range than the 10-20 degrees.
The oval profile is designed to acheive optimal aerodynamic performance by reducing drag around the wheel in both frontal and cross wind conditions by creating a negative pressure section that compresses and speeds airflow over the rim, thus reducing drag while also increasing stability
The yaw angle is the calculated real wind angle when the speed of the actual wind (effective wind) and the wind speed produced by the rider (apparent wind) are taken into consideration.
More speed. We developed our Carbon Clinchers, concentrating not only on the front half of the wheel, but also the back half. Oval rim shapes were designed to smooth airflow coming off the tyre, and tapered inward from the widest point of the bulge. this maintains more stability in windy conditions, far better than V-shaped rims.

Rims: No Burnouts. Highly effective Basalt braking surface which perform well in the wet and the dry. We have been using this rim on our wheels since 2014 with no warranty issues.
PRO AND PRO SL RIMS LIGHTER THAN OUR AERO RIMS WITH A CLASSY 'AS GOOD AS ALLOY' CARBON WEAVE BRAKING SURFACE FINISH
Made from Japanese Toray T700 carbon, 26mm wide (19mm internal) will fit 23, 25, 28, 32mm tube and tubeless types.
Rims: No Burnouts.These rims are lighter than the Aero rims with a 4k carbon weave applied to the braking surface. This is a very effective way to increase braking performance further in both the wet and dry. As effective as alloy.
Our rims are Clincher and Tubeless compatible so you have the option to run either tubed or tubeless tyres.
ZUUS PRO RIMS 2-Way Tubeless Clincher Rims.
Use either traditional tyres with tubes, or tubeless tyres without tubes. Tubeless tyres can provide lower rolling resistance and better protection from punctures.
There are a few distinct advantages to this:
1. Normally if you run a moderately low tire pressure (Under 100psi), you'll experience noticeably increased rolling resistance. A lot of this rolling resistance comes from friction between the tyre and the tube. The lower the pressure, the more the tube is stretching and moving in the tire as it rolls, creating friction and rolling resistance. By using a tubeless tyre, you can eliminate the increase in rolling resistance associated with lower tyre pressures.
2. With traditional clincher tyres and tubes, If you want to run a low tyre pressure (under 80psi), for cyclocross, grave grinding, or other situations needing increased traction, you increase the risk of pinch flats. With a tubeless setup, not having a tube, and having tubeless sealant, your tire can self-heal small punctures without significant air loss. This means you can run low tyre pressures, with a tubeless tyre, at a decreased risk of pinch flats.
3. You can use either tubeless or clincher tyres, the choice is yours. The ZUUS PRO rims are compatible with both. There is no disadvantage to a normal clincher tyre and tube setup with this rim, only the advantage of the option to use tubeless tyres.

The difference between our PRO and PRO SL hubs is that the SL's have Ceramic bearings and in spin tests revolve 6 times longer. If you have the budget always upgrade to the 'SL' sets as they also have SAPIM CX-RAY spokes as standards (offered as an upgrade for £99 on the Pro range)
